Maneuvering & Positioning

WORKSHOP

A well-needed workshop for today’s overloaded towers with hard-to-access working areas. Most tower climbing accidents are caused by workers who do not know how to safely maneuver and get to their working points while staying connected. The theoretical component of this course will give you the tools to create systems that will allow you to move freely and safely to any point of the tower.

Some of the subjects to be covered are:

  • Fall Arrest Systems
  • Anchors
  • Access Techniques
  • Tension Traverse
  • Horizontal Temporary Lifeline
  • Use of Slings
  • One Hand Operation Descender
  • Directional Rappel
  • Structure Evaluation
